A recent addition to PACE, Ian Butterfield brings a wealth of experience in issues pertaining to international trade, international and domestic energy policy, and national security. His ability to examine and understand US government policy from a global perspective is an indispensable asset.
Before joining PACE, Butterfield spent six years working as the International and Government Affairs Director for the Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Here, he formulated and oversaw global government affairs policies on nuclear power, conventional powers, defense, process controls, broadcasting and refrigerated trucking segments of corporation. Ian also dedicated twelve years to working on the staff of Senator William V. Roth (R-DE) where he monitored national security, defense, foreign policy, intelligence, nuclear proliferation, and international energy. Butterfield holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
